Some 129 coronavirus cases and 37 deaths due to the coronavirus were recorded in connection with this nursing home. A $611,000 fine was levied against the nursing home for the deadly Coronavirus outbreak. Health officials established that the nursing home’s negligence contributed to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The details:

Deborah de los Angeles’ mother suffered from dementia and from an immune system disease. The nursing home notified her of her mother’s death only 22 hours after informing her that her mother had contracted Coronavirus. That’s 10 days after the facility first learned that her mother had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The lawsuit claims that the senior facility failed to quarantine residents, and continued to host parties. Allowed people in and out of its premises, and it took 17 days to notify the county of the alleged outbreak.

Three families sue a home for elderly residents in Atlanta following the death of family members who tested positive for Coronavirus.

The plaintiffs allege that the home, where at least 16 people died, failed to take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus among its residents and staff.
